AWARDS: 89 points of Luca Maroni 2017.
His strong but always polite personality makes him a very versatile table companion. Always delicious with a hearty piece of meat: Matured entrecote, lamb chops, horse steak and the finer game.
- climate
-
Puglia (Apulia) comes from the Roman A-Pluvia, which means without rain. This already says a lot about the climate. Mediterranean climate with very warm and dry summers and mild winters with limited precipitation.
- soil
-
Poor sandy soils with iron and lime.
- vinification
-
100% Susumaniello. The grapes are picked in the cool of the early morning. After careful crushing, maceration takes place on the pellets and fermentation is started in stainless steel vats. The wine is then transferred to large barrels and rests for about a year before being bottled.
