2023 Les Jamelles Classic SCREWCAP - Vin de Pays d'Oc Cinsault 0.75 Ltr. Rosé
picture of

Typical pale pink colour. It is a very fruity, aromatic wine, with scents of fruit drops, raspberries, strawberries and grenadine, and floral aromas (roses and lavender). A hint of carbon dioxide on the palate attack (like lees-aged wines) gives it freshness. This is a pleasant, easy drinking wine with an extremely well-balanced palate combining roundness and length with good acidity and freshness.

Serve well chilled (8°C), as an apéritif, with salads, braised meats, grilled meats, stuffed peppers, pasta or cheese.

climate

This region’s climate is hot, dry and very sunny.

soil

25% of the grapes come from the Gard (deep soils with alluvial deposits from the Rhône, with pebbles), 60% from the north of Béziers and 15% from the Limoux region, in the Aude (very poor clay and limestone soils).

vinification

"Rosé de saignée." Whole bunches of red Cinsault grapes are macerated in vats until required colour is obtained (after a few hours). Pressing separates the juice from the skins. Fermentation of the juice at low temperature (15°C). No malolactic fermentation. Early bottling.
