More information about 'Podere Le Berne'

Some of Tuscany’s most iconic wines are crafted here!

The winery of Podere Le Bèrne is located in the south of Tuscany, beautifully situated in the Montepulciano region, where the famous Vino Nobile has been produced since the 15th century.

Their vineyards are located in Cervognano. In the 1960s, Egisto Natalini and his son Giuliano decided to establish a family business together and begin producing wine.

In 1995, Giuliano’s son Andrea joined the company, supported by the renowned oenologist Paolo Vagaggini.

The goal was to combine centuries-old winemaking techniques with modern methods. The name "Le Berne" originates from the Etruscan "Verna" or "Verena," meaning "surrounded by hills."

Their Riserva 2019 once again confirms the high reputation of Le Berne, as well as the quality of this exceptional vintage!

Winemaking in Tuscany

Tuscany, located in the enchanting landscape of Italy, has been devoted to the art of winemaking for centuries. This region not only offers an abundance of delicious wines but also a wealth of fascinating elements that make winemaking an unforgettable experience.

The wine culture in Tuscany is steeped in history and tradition. Ancient vineyards, some dating back to the time of the Etruscans, bear witness to a deeply rooted passion for wine production. The vineyards are surrounded by picturesque landscapes, including cypress trees, olive groves, and medieval villages that seem untouched by time.

One of Tuscany’s standout features is its focus on sustainability and organic farming practices. Many wineries are committed to environmentally friendly viticulture, taking into account the preservation of the natural environment and the region’s biodiversity.

Another captivating aspect of Tuscan winemaking is the strong sense of community. Wine here is more than just a beverage; it is a way of life. Local wine festivals, tastings, and events bring people together to enjoy the fruits of the region and celebrate its rich culture.
