In the early 1900's Manuel Galan Nilo came to Molina as the new doctor of the village. A few years later in 1914 he bought his first vineyard “Los Olivos” which marked the first steps of the family in the wine world. His youngest son Alvaro Galan Besoain became a respected wine broker in Chile after many years in the wine business. It was he who decided in 1991 to buy the current vineyards together with his sons in order to put their passion into practice. Alvaro, the eldest, is now general manager and his brothers Jorge and Francisco are oenologist and commercial manager respectively. The vineyards are close to the national park of Los Siete Tazas (The Seven Cups) where the river Claro created seven waterfalls with respective tubs (Tazas) over thousands of years. In this beautiful setting, the Galan family now produces some of the best wines in the region, which are exported to more than 20 countries.
